Of

QuickServe Plumbing Ltd

When you book a service with QuickServe Plumbing Ltd (“the Company”) via email, text, online, over the phone, or in person, you (“the Customer”) agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Engineers operate under their own Gas Safe Registration and are solely responsible for any gas-related work and subsequent liability.

1. Definitions

1.1. “The Company” refers to QuickServe Plumbing Ltd.

1.2. “The Customer” refers to the person or organisation for whom the Company agrees to carry out works and/or supply materials.

2. Quotations and Estimates

2.1. All quotes provided are estimates based on the information available at the time of inspection.

2.2. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

2.3. Our estimates are not fixed prices and may be subject to change if unforeseen issues arise during the course of the work.

3. Overtime

3.1. The price set out in the Quotation Document is based on the work being carried out during normal working hours.

3.2. No additional payment will be charged if the engineer works beyond their planned day’s work unless this has been agreed upon beforehand and specified in the Quotation Document.

4. Unforeseen Issues and Additional Costs

4.1. Should unforeseen issues arise (e.g., structural obstructions, additional faults), these may result in extra labor time or material costs.

4.2. The Customer will be notified promptly, and an updated estimate will be provided for approval.

4.3. For jobs under £200 deemed an immediate necessity (e.g., repairing a broken stop tap), the Company reserves the right to proceed without prior approval for safety and functionality purposes.

4.4. For all other cases, work will not continue until the updated estimate is approved by the Customer.

5. Payment Terms

5.1. Payment is due immediately upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed.

5.2. For larger projects, a deposit may be required before starting work, with staged payments due at agreed intervals.

5.3. Payments can be made via bank transfer, cash, or card.

5.4. Late payments may incur interest at a rate of 4% above the Bank of England base rate.

6. Health and Safety Compliance

6.1. Both the Company and the Customer agree to comply with all relevant health and safety regulations during the execution of work.

7. Customer Responsibilities

7.1. The Customer must ensure that all areas where work will be carried out are clear and accessible.

7.2. The Company is not liable for delays or additional costs caused by inadequate preparation or restricted access to the worksite.

8. Materials and Warranty

8.1. All materials supplied by the Company remain the property of the Company until full payment is received.

8.2. The Company provides a 12-month warranty on workmanship and manufacturer warranties for supplied parts, subject to proper use and maintenance.

8.3. The Company is not responsible for faults, delays, or additional costs arising from materials supplied by the Customer.

9. Cancellations and Rescheduling

9.1. The Customer may cancel or reschedule work with at least 24 hours’ notice.

9.2. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a charge to cover lost time and costs.

10. Liability

10.1. The Company is fully insured for public liability and damage caused by its work.

10.2. The Company shall not be held responsible for delays or damages caused by factors outside its control (e.g., supplier delays, extreme weather).

11. Force Majeure

11.1. The Company shall not be held liable for failure to fulfill obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, supplier delays, and natural disasters.

12. Termination of Agreement

12.1. The Company reserves the right to terminate the agreement if the Customer fails to comply with these terms, including non-payment or lack of access to the worksite.

13. Photographic Evidence

13.1. The Company may take photographic evidence of work completed, with prior Customer approval, for record-keeping or promotional purposes.

14. Emergency Call-Outs

14.1. Emergency call-outs are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

14.2. The Company will always endeavor to resolve emergencies as quickly as possible, but timing cannot be guaranteed.

15. Dispute Resolution

15.1. Any disputes should be raised in writing within 14 days of the issue arising.

15.2. The Company will work with the Customer to resolve disputes amicably. If necessary, disputes can be referred to an independent arbitration service.

16. Privacy Policy

16.1. Personal data collected is handled in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

16.2. The Company will not share Customer information with third parties without consent, except as necessary for the performance of services.

17. Governing Law

17.1. These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

17.2. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

18. Asbestos Clause

18.1. Any price set out in the Quotation Document does not include the cost of removal of any asbestos discovered during the work.

18.2. Upon discovery of asbestos, work will immediately cease, and the Customer will be required to engage a specialist asbestos removal company at their own cost.

19. Power Flushing

19.1. This operation removes debris and sludge, which can cause wear on valves, pumps, boilers, and radiators. It will be carried out according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

19.2. Water leaks may occur due to the removal of corrosion or debris, and additional work resulting from these leaks will be chargeable to the Customer.

19.3. While every effort is made to protect the Customer’s property, the process may be messy. The Customer is responsible for keeping affected areas clear.

20. Servicing

20.1. The Company will service boilers, gas fires, cookers, cylinders, and water heaters, covering the gas burner, controls, combustion chamber, flue ways, and flue.

20.2. Wear and tear discovered during servicing, or components that fail due to pre-existing issues, are not covered by the service fee and will be charged separately.

21. Positioning of Fittings

21.1. The positioning of utilities, pipes, and controls must be determined prior to work commencement unless otherwise specified in the quotation or associated drawings.

21.2. Any significant alterations or unusual placements must be communicated in writing by the Customer to avoid delays. Additional costs may apply for such changes.

22. Water and Heating Installations

22.1. The price quoted assumes that existing plumbing and water pressure are in satisfactory condition.

22.2. The Company is not responsible for defects in existing water tanks, pipes, or other components that become evident during or after installation.

23. Defects

23.1. The Company will not be held liable for defects in the original or existing system that are revealed during work, including boiler installations or control upgrades.

23.2. Any additional work required to address such defects will be chargeable to the Customer at the prevailing rates.

24. Termination

24.1. The Company reserves the right to terminate any agreement due to non-payment, unsafe conditions, or failure to comply with these terms.

24.2. The Customer may terminate the agreement by providing written notice, subject to settlement of any outstanding payments for completed work.

25. Updates to Terms and Conditions

25.1. The Company reserves the right to update these terms and conditions periodically. Customers will be notified of significant changes before they take effect.
